Phlebotomist (per-diem)

About the role

Join Labcorp as a Phlebotomist in Haddon Heights, NJ, and be the face of our company. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and contribute to continuous growth opportunities within the organization. You may work in a Patient Service Center or Client office.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as needed
• Travel to additional sites when required

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency, or 3+ months of experience as a phlebotomist
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience

Pay

$17.75–$24 per hour. All job offers will be based on skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, internal equity, and market data.

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours per week, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible only for the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7-on/7-off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.

Schedule

As needed, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–6:50 PM, with rotating Saturdays.
