About the role

Join Labcorp as a Phlebotomist in Little Egg Harbor, NJ, and be the face of the company in a Patient Service Center or Client office. This role involves performing skilled specimen collections, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to continuous growth opportunities within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs.
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or 3+ months of experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, certification or training must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience.

Pay

$17.75–$24 per hour. All job offers are based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, internal equity, and market data. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Schedule

As needed, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays.
