About the Role
Primarily responsible for specimen collection procedures, including but not limited to, venipuncture and capillary draws for patients within the Patient Service Centers.
Schedule
Part-time (0.5 FTE) with benefits. Variable start between 6 am - 9 am. Primary coverage includes 1 pm - 5 pm, 11 am - 5 pm, and 7 am - 3 pm shifts at the MACC PSC. May be required to work at other Catholic Health Patient Service Centers during staffing shortages or critical needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform specimen collection procedures, including venipuncture and capillary draws.
- Handle micro-collection and butterfly collection on geriatric, neonate, and pediatric patients.
- Interpret patient needs and provide customer-focused service.
- Maintain a professional manner in stressful situations.
- Work safely with infectious and/or hazardous materials.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Successful completion of Clinical Phlebotomy rotation and/or six (6) months experience in phlebotomy (including micro-collection and butterfly collection on geriatric and neonate/pediatric patients).
- Proof of certification required if experience is less than six (6) months.

Working Conditions
