About the role
As a Phlebotomist, you will perform blood collections, provide exceptional customer service, and serve as the face of Labcorp. This role offers opportunities for continuous growth within the organization and may include travel to additional sites as needed. You may also be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
Schedule
- 25 hours weekly
- Monday - Friday: 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM (no lunch break)
- Rotating Saturdays
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs
- Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
- Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Handle administrative and clerical duties as required
- Travel to additional sites when needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- 1 year or more of experience as a phlebotomist (or certification/training in lieu of experience)
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years or more of phlebotomy experience
