Phlebotomist ( Overland ) Full time Days

Position Summary & Highlights

We are seeking a Phlebotomist Tech for our Saint Alphonsus Medical Group Overland clinic location. This is a Full time Day shift position.

About the Role

Under the general direction of the supervisor, the ideal candidate will collect blood samples, correctly identify patients, transport specimens, and perform all related clerical and computer functions. This includes lab orders and supplies, lab schedule, monthly and daily QC, and assist clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood samples and properly identifies patients
• Transports specimens
• Performs all related clerical and computer functions
• Utilizes relevant computer programs and performs data entry
• Serves as the central communication of the laboratory for all incoming requests
• Maintains quality and quantity of specimens sent to reference laboratories
• Reports results received

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred

Schedule

This position will be scheduled full time, Monday through Friday. Hours are between 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
