About the role
We serve together in the spirit of the Gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within our communities. Flexible scheduling is available after training is complete. Most positions are four-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with every third weekend required. Training requires full-time hours (1st shift, Monday through Friday) for up to 8 weeks.
Responsibilities
- Provides specimen collection, registration, and processing services to patients in the main hospital, outpatient lab draw stations, and off-site locations such as mental health and skilled nursing facilities and clinics.
- Works in a single assigned area with high-volume tasks; 50% of duties involve computer utilization with targets to meet.
- Provides clerical support to the Pathology Department and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Six months of Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred.
- If interested in 1st shift, must be able to work as early as 4 am.
- Must be willing to work four-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with every third weekend.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- ASCP certification for Phlebotomy preferred (must obtain certification within one year of hire).
