About the role

We serve together in the spirit of the Gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within our communities. Flexible scheduling is available after training is complete. Most positions are four-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with every third weekend required. Training requires full-time hours (1st shift, Monday through Friday) for up to 8 weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Provides specimen collection, registration, and processing services to patients in the main hospital, outpatient lab draw stations, and off-site locations such as mental health and skilled nursing facilities and clinics.
  • Works in a single assigned area with high-volume tasks; 50% of duties involve computer utilization with targets to meet.
  • Provides clerical support to the Pathology Department and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Six months of Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred.
  • If interested in 1st shift, must be able to work as early as 4 am.
  • Must be willing to work four-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with every third weekend.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • ASCP certification for Phlebotomy preferred (must obtain certification within one year of hire).
