Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant

About the role

Join a collaborative fertility clinic team where patient care, compassion, and attention to detail matter. Our Sandy, UT office is seeking a Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant who enjoys hands-on patient interaction and wants to grow in women’s health and reproductive medicine. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their healthcare career who is looking to build clinical experience in a supportive and highly specialized environment.

Responsibilities

• Aid physicians with clinical procedures
• Follow proper protocols for all procedures
• Practice phlebotomy
• Accurately document ultrasound measurements, provider comments, and use appropriate stim templates while chaperoning ultrasounds
• Clean exam rooms and equipment per protocol
• Set up and stock examination and procedure rooms
• Maintain clinical supplies inventory
• Collect and process specimens for in-house and outside laboratories
• Manage Lanfax for outside labs, reports, and results
• Enter results and email to provider team for review
• Provide patients with information regarding upcoming procedures and reassurance/comfort before, during, and after procedures

Requirements

• Completion of Certified Medical Assistant Program – preferred
• Studies level: Certification, Studies area: Nursing/healthcare assistant
• Phlebotomy Program – preferred
• Studies level: Certification, Studies area: Phlebotomy Program
• 6+ months experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician practice
• Prior experience in women’s healthcare – preferred
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings

Position Requirements/Experience

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel – required
• EMR experience – preferred
