General Purpose Of Job:
Following established procedures, obtains blood specimens for clinical laboratory analysis for the patient population served by UMH-West. Distributes specimens promptly to the laboratory, performs waived point-of-care testing and maintains clinical and professional competency.
Education
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of college (pre-med or pre-MLS) is preferred
License / Certification / Registration
- Certification is preferred, after one year of experience with ASCP, ASPT, NCA, and AMT
Experience
- Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant training/experience is preferred
