About the role
The Phlebotomy team at Loyola Medicine at MacNeal Hospital is seeking a part-time Day Shift Phlebotomist.
Responsibilities
- Uses approved techniques to collect quality biological samples for laboratory testing from all patient populations (pediatric through geriatric).
- Performs electrocardiograms (EKG's) for cardiology interpretation.
- Fulfills the needs of the patient while exemplifying the service excellence goals of care, concern, respect, and cooperation.
Requirements
- One year or more phlebotomy experience.
- High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education.
- Less than one year of previous job-related experience.
Qualifications
- CPR- American Heart Association (AHA)
- Phlebotomy certification - Certifying agencies: ASPT, NCCT, NHA, NPA
