Responsibilities

• Obtain quality blood samples using various phlebotomy methods for all age groups.
• Provide rapid response to medical emergencies such as traumas and codes.
• Work independently and as part of a team, fostering an inclusive work environment.
• Interact with patients, nurses, providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Use a variety of computer programs and systems during daily routines.
• Accurately identify patients, label, handle, and transport specimens.
• Answer phones and assist with the training of students and new employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid phlebotomy certification from an approved agency.
• Experience working in a medical field is preferred but not required.
• Moderate to advanced computer skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work, manage time, and adjust to changes in work volumes.
• Good customer service skills.

Pay and Schedule

• Phlebotomist I: $20.00- $25.09 per hour.
• Phlebotomist II: $20.00 - $26.79 per hour.

Schedule

• Full-time, 80 hours per pay period.
• Four 10-hour shifts per week, including every other Saturday.
• Holiday coverage is required as scheduled based on departmental needs.
• Every other Saturday schedule.
