About the role

Join our team as a Phlebotomist and become an essential part of the diagnostic process. You'll gain hands-on experience collecting and preparing biological specimens, supporting lab testing, and interacting directly with patients in a meaningful, professional setting.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and prepare biological specimens, properly entering data into the computer system and preparing samples for analytical testing.
  • Perform specified analytical testing as assigned.
  • Perform duties associated with blood donor registration services.
  • Verify coverage of Advanced Beneficiary Notices, obtain authorizations and notifications, and calculate patient liability based on verification of insurance benefits.
  • Communicate with physicians, clinical and hospital staff, nursing and Health Information Management Services to resolve outstanding issues and/or patient concerns.
  • Works to meet the patients' needs in financial services, meeting or exceeding productivity standards and maintaining accurate production logs and records.
  • Assures accuracy and completeness of work performed, initiates computer-generated reports, and completes documents and records legibly and accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment, and troubleshoot routine problems within their area of responsibility.
  • May perform assigned patient testing and collections for drug and alcohol screening.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
  • BLS certification required upon hire.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
  • Preferred qualifications include additional related education and/or experience.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility for coverage under the company auto insurance policy may be required.

Pay

$20.07 starting wage with an increase based on experience and education. Retention Bonus of $500 for eligible new hires. Additional Pay Shift Differential, Annual Increases, and Paid Time Off.

Schedule

2 Full-time Day Shift positions, 36-40 hours per week
1 Full time Night Shift position, 40 hours per week
Shift Differentials Available: $2.00/hr. Weekend - $2.50/hr. Evening - $6.00/hr. Night
