Phlebotomist (FT) | Lab | Carroll | 2026-155

Responsibilities

• collects and receives specimens to be tested
• prepares and dispatches specimens for testing
• performs receptionist duties, collects blood samples by venipuncture, heel stick and finger stick
• obtains urine and other specimens from patients
• performs receptionist and other clerical duties as needed
• stocks and maintains supplies in work areas
• helps to keep work area clean
• attends required meetings and participates on committee as requested
• performs related work as required

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or HiSET
• Formal training and/or experience in phlebotomy required
• Prefer Certification in Phlebotomy
• Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers
• Mandatory Reporting of Dependent Adult and Child Abuse

Qualifications

• Computer skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Phlebotomy experience in fast paced clinical laboratory environment
• Medical terminology
