About the role

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist - PRN to join our team for coverage of Patient Service Centers in and around Westminster, CO. This role provides variety, allowing you to work with diverse patients, team members, and clinic locations while gaining extensive experience and setting the stage for continuous growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency, or 9 months or more of experience as a phlebotomist
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments
• Must pass a standardized color blindness test
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or prior Labcorp experience

Pay

Pay Range: $21.73 - $28.49 per hour. Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, internal equity, and market data.

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Schedule

PRN hours during business hours based on business needs. Business hours are Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm, with rotational Saturday hours.
