About the role
Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float PRN to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO (80906) and surrounding areas, including Castle Rock. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent the company in Patient Service Centers or Client offices. You will also have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency, or 6+ months of experience as a Phlebotomist
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments
- Must pass a standardized color blindness test
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are eligible for the 401(k) Plan only.
Pay
Pay range: $18.29 to $28.49 per hour
Additional compensation: $1.00/hr float incentive plus mileage reimbursement
Phlebotomists may be eligible for a quarterly incentive bonus based on performance metrics.
Schedule
- PRN hours during business hours (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM)
- Rotational Saturdays may be included
