Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II - Float to support our client's healthcare facility in Titusville, FL.

Job Details

• Schedule: Must be able to cover the following M-F shifts: 5:30am - 2:30pm EST, 6:00am - 3:00pm EST, 6:30am - 3:30pm EST. Saturday rotations will be staffed at the TTV Titusville site 6:00am - 12:00pm EST.
• Location: Titusville, FL 32796
• Job Type: Local contract
• Contract Length: 4 months + contract to possible

Pay

$22.79/hr to $24.41/hr. Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and other specimen collections using straight and butterfly needles.
• Collect, label, process, centrifuge, split, freeze, and package specimens according to established procedures.
• Verify patient information, physician orders, requisitions, and specimen labels for accuracy.
• Explain blood draw and specimen collection procedures clearly and courteously to patients.
• Maintain specimen integrity by following proper storage, temperature, transportation, and handling protocols.
• Perform equipment maintenance, decontamination, recordkeeping, and patient information updates.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and complete required annual department training.
• Answer telephone inquiries and provide laboratory results as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a fast-paced laboratory or hospital setting.
• Valid state phlebotomy certification where required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• 2-4 years of experience listed as preferred/required in the posting.
