Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This unique role offers variety, allowing you to work with diverse patients, team members, and clinics/locations while quickly gaining extensive experience and setting the stage for continuous growth within the organization.
Schedule
Monday - Friday 7:00am - 7:00pm with occasional weekends; hours vary by location.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
- Process billing information and collect payments.
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
- Provide superior customer service to all patients.
- Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
- Travel to additional sites when needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
- Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or 3+ months of experience as a phlebotomist.
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
- Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
- At least 21 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year or more of experience as a phlebotomist.
Pay
- Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hour plus mileage reimbursement.
- Eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
