About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to support patient care by collecting, processing, and managing laboratory specimens, including phlebotomy. This role involves routine access to protected health information, requiring strict confidentiality and adherence to privacy standards.
Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and manage laboratory specimens
- Perform phlebotomy procedures
- Ensure proper specimen handling and recognize when corrective actions are needed
- Maintain safety, compliance, and quality control in a laboratory setting with biological hazards and PPE requirements
- Operate basic laboratory equipment such as centrifuges and computers
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to operate basic laboratory equipment
Qualifications
Preferred experience includes 1-2 years in clinical laboratories, data entry, or production.
