Phlebotomist Float

About the role
Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Arizona, covering locations including Prescott, Prescott Valley, Mayer, Black Canyon, Cottonwood, Sedona, Williams, Flagstaff, and Winslow. As a Float Phlebotomist, you will have the opportunity to quickly gain a vast amount of experience by working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/patient service center locations. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to work in fast-paced/high-volume work environments
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
Skills
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Schedule
Able to cover hours that vary Monday - Friday 6:00 am – 7:00 pm; additional days/hours as needed, including some Saturdays.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
