Phlebotomist Float
Job Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Requirements
- Nevada state issued laboratory assistant license
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Drawing on pediatrics to geriatrics
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a phlebotomist
- Pass a standardized color blindness test
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Additional Job Standards
- In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a lab assistant license filed with the NV Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Able to work in fast paced / high volume work environments
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Pay Range
Pay Range: $17.75 - $27.69 per hour
Float Differential
In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a lab assistant license filed with the NV Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement

Schedule
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, hours will vary from 6:30 am – 6:00 pm, and Saturday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm; additional days/hours as needed
