About the role

As a Float Phlebotomist, you will travel to various sites, gaining diverse experience while working with different patients, team members, and clinics. This role is ideal for those who enjoy variety and seek continuous growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency, or 6+ months of phlebotomy experience
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Must pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
• Must be at least 21 years old

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or previous LabCorp experience
• 1+ years of phlebotomy experience

Pay

Pay Range: $17.75 - $26.00 per hour. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, internal equity, and market data.

Additional compensation includes:

• Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
• Eligibility for the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 6:30 am - 3:30 pm
• Alternating Saturdays 6:30 am - 11:00 am
