Phlebotomist - Float

About the role

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Weymouth, MA.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 6 or more months of phlebotomy experience

Qualifications

• Current or previous LabCorp experience
• 1 or more years of phlebotomy experience

Skills

• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years old

Pay

• Pay range: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
• Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
• Eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan (quarterly bonus based on performance metrics)

Schedule

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 6:00 am - 8:00 pm and rotating Saturdays
