Phlebotomist Float

About the role

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in the Anaheim, CA area, covering locations including Anaheim, Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach, Yorba Linda, Cypress, Los Alamitos, Buena Park, Placentia, Anaheim Hills, Garden Grove, Tustin, and Westminster. Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Requirements

• 1 year or more of experience as a phlebotomist
• California state-issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• 1 year or more of phlebotomist experience with Geriatrics and Pediatric patients (preferred)
• Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English (preferred)
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work in fast-paced/high-volume work environments
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Able to attend 2-week training in California

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years or more of experience as a phlebotomist
• Current or prior experience at LabCorp

Pay

Pay Range: $23.00-$33.00 per hour. Float Incentive: Additional $1.50 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Schedule

Able to cover hours that vary Monday – Friday 5:00 am – 6:00 pm; additional days/hours as needed, including some Saturdays and Sundays.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
