Responsibilities
- Strong communication skills
- Shows accountability by being trustworthy, responsible, and dependable while taking ownership of actions
- Establishes proficiency in collecting patient samples correctly
- Proficiency and accuracy with laboratory EMR system for accurate order entry, faxing, printing, and scheduling
- Comfortable with a fast-paced environment and able to multitask
- Attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated through interactions with teams, staff, and management
- Exercises independent judgement and can work under minimal supervision
Qualifications
- Phlebotomy training is preferred but not required
- ASCP or AMT Phlebotomy license preferred but not required
- Experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred but not required
- Experience with LIS computer system preferred but not required
