Major Responsibilities
- Performs all venipunctures and capillary collection on patients
- Transports all specimens to the Laboratory
Position Qualifications
- Licenses/Certifications/Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of a Certificate program in phlebotomy, medical assistant or a hospital that trains phlebotomy techniques.
- Experience/Skills: The Outreach Phlebotomist performs all venipunctures and capillary collection on patients and transports all specimens to the Laboratory. Settings include physician’s offices, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and home draws.
