Phlebotomist - Clinic

About the role

Pride Health is hiring a phlebotomist to support their client's medical facility in Irving, TX 75038. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance).

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Collect blood from patients using both venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
• Process and prepare specimens for testing and transport.
• Troubleshoot any issues related to specimen collection.
• Provide proper patient instructions for various collection methods, such as urine collection.
• Instruct patients on post-phlebotomy care.
• Properly dispose of hazardous and sharp materials.
• Obtain specimens for microbiology testing.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures, including the positive identification of all patient specimens and performing both waived and moderate complexity laboratory testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of preferred experience.
• Certified Phlebotomist.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.

Additional Information

• Location: Irving, TX 75038.
• Job Type: 3+ months contract to Hire.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday and every other Saturday.
• Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8 am-5 pm.
• Pay Range: $20-$23/hr. on W2 without benefits.
