Phlebotomist - Clinic
About the role
Pride Health is hiring a phlebotomist to support their client's medical facility in Irving, TX 75038. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance).
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection.
- Collect blood from patients using both venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
- Process and prepare specimens for testing and transport.
- Troubleshoot any issues related to specimen collection.
- Provide proper patient instructions for various collection methods, such as urine collection.
- Instruct patients on post-phlebotomy care.
- Properly dispose of hazardous and sharp materials.
- Obtain specimens for microbiology testing.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures, including the positive identification of all patient specimens and performing both waived and moderate complexity laboratory testing.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of preferred experience.
- Certified Phlebotomist.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- BLS Certification.
Additional Information
- Location: Irving, TX 75038.
- Job Type: 3+ months contract to Hire.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday and every other Saturday.
- Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8 am-5 pm.
- Pay Range: $20-$23/hr. on W2 without benefits.
