About the role

We are seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Augusta, GA. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent Labcorp in Patient Service Centers or Client offices. You will also have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs.
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information.
  • Process billing information and collect payments.
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients.
  • Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
  • Travel to additional sites when needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
  • Phlebotomy certification, completion of a training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist.
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
  • Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • At least 21 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year or more of experience as a phlebotomist.

Pay

  • Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement.
  • Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, anywhere between the hours of 6:00am - 6:00pm, with rotating Saturdays. Hours may vary as this is a casual position.
