Phlebotomist

About the role

Collect lab specimens and perform basic laboratory test and reporting of results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of medical terminology or willingness to take classes
• Health care experience preferred but not necessary
• Must obtain National Certification for Phlebotomy within one (1) year
• Previous computer use desirable
• Bilingual Yupik/English preferred
• Applicant must be willing to acquire additional skills through on the job training and or outside classes
• Positive oral and written communication skills
• Positive customer service
• Ability to add subtract, multiply and divide in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
