About the role
Collect lab specimens and perform basic laboratory test and reporting of results.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of medical terminology or willingness to take classes
- Health care experience preferred but not necessary
- Must obtain National Certification for Phlebotomy within one (1) year
- Previous computer use desirable
- Bilingual Yupik/English preferred
- Applicant must be willing to acquire additional skills through on the job training and or outside classes
- Positive oral and written communication skills
- Positive customer service
- Ability to add subtract, multiply and divide in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
