Phlebotomist

About the role

Pride Health is hiring a phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility in Talbott, TN 37877. This is a 3-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.
• Record maintenance data and decontamination procedures.
• Update patient information and explain venipuncture or other specimen collection processes to patients in a clear and courteous manner.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure 100% correctness against physician orders.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples according to required temperatures.
• Collect and store specimens in accordance with established procedures.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of phlebotomy experience, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Pay

$19.93 – $21.36 per hour (determined by experience and relevant licenses/certifications).

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
