Phlebotomist

Specific Job Duties

• Primarily responsible for the collection of blood specimens for the clinical laboratory.
• Computer test order entry in our outpatient settings, specimen collection data entry and assisting caregivers with patient reports.
• Making sure the laboratory is ready for inspection by regulatory agencies.
• Maintaining, ordering, and stocking laboratory supplies.
• Providing customer service to answer questions from patient providers regarding patient results or sample collection techniques or questions.

Job Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a phlebotomy-training program or equivalent experience.
• National Phlebotomy Certification is required.
• Some computer experience and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

Specific Information

6PM-6:30AM 7on/off shift, rotation in the on-call phlebotomy schedule.
