Phlebotomist

About the role
We're hiring immediately, and we will train you! Whether you are just starting your career or have some phlebotomy experience, we're here to help you leverage the extensive phlebotomy training provided, develop your talents, and perform at your best. Your impact as a Mobile Phlebotomist is vital. You will assist Vitalant's donor care team in setting up blood drives at locations within an 80-100 mile range while creating comfortable, convenient, and consistent blood donation experiences for our donors. Every day you will help save lives and have a vital impact on your community.
Responsibilities
- Greet donors, keeping them comfortable and informed
- Perform blood draws (paid training provided)
- Manage accurate and organized donor information
- Receive coaching, encouragement, and support from caring managers who are invested in your career and success
- Set up, operate, and break down equipment at mobile blood drives
- Package and transport blood products according to established procedures
- Conduct blood drives in one of our buses or interact with donors at one of our local donation centers
- Drive large vehicles after appropriate training (opportunity available)
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel throughout the service area, including overnight hotel stays
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed
Pay
Salary: $21.00 - $22.30 per hour (commensurate with a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location)
Schedule
- Variable hours daily
- Mobile operations and Center
- Friday - Tuesday with Wednesday and Thursday off
