About the role

We are seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at 211 13th Street, Ramona, CA 92065. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent the company as a key point of contact for patients. You will also have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• Valid California State-issued Phlebotomy License (or application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire)
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to attend 2-week training in California

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more months of experience as a phlebotomist
• Current or prior experience with Labcorp

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM. Additional hours and rotating weekends may be required.

Pay

Pay Range: $23.00 – $33.00 per hour. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, internal equity, and market data. Phlebotomists may also be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only. Employees on a 7-on/7-off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
