About the role
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the company to patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. The PSR I performs quality blood sample collection and specimen preparation for lab testing, demonstrating leadership behaviors, process excellence, and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Conduct forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established practices and procedures.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment with minimal on-site supervision.
- Demonstrate excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric blood draws.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic training preferred).
- Minimum of 6 months of experience; one or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience required.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, varying shift times between 6:45 AM and 6:00 PM.
