Hours Of Performance
Maintained Monday to Friday, 0600-1700 (40 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Maintain accountability of sharps.
- Check out needls and maintain control of those needles in a locked cabinet once the phlebotomist comes to the pharmacy.
- Return any needles not utilized to the pharmacy at the end of the day.
- Maintain a safe, clean and secure work area at all times.
- Ensure the information from labs performed is sent to the MD.
- Perform hematology labs and urinalysis testing.
- Process provider lab orders off the computer-based systems and perform appropriate testing.
- Monitor temp logs.
- Perform quality assurance protocol weekly maintenance.
Qualifications
- Graduation from a Phlebotomist program that qualifies for state licensure/certification.
- Three letters of reference.
- Proof of Hepatitis B vaccination.
- TB Skin test of chest radiography.
- AHA CPR certification.
