Phlebotomist

Raleigh General Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. We are part of Lifepoint Health, a diverse healthcare network with facilities nationwide. Our mission is to prioritize patient well-being so they can provide exceptional care.

Responsibilities

• Labels, processes, and delivers specimens for testing.
• Collections blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies.
• Affords support for coordinating and conducting blood drives, including interviewing and screening donors.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred certifications from ASCP or NHA.

• Familiarity with organization and functions of each hospital department.
• Leadership ability, integrity, and initiative required.
• Ability to solve problems effectively and handle stress in a positive manner.
• Maintain harmonious relationships with nursing personnel, medical staff, hospital administration, and all hospital departments.
