Phlebotomist

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support a medical facility in Peabody, MA 01960. This is a 3+ month contract assignment with the possibility of conversion or extension.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood from patients for laboratory testing, blood donations, or medical procedures.
• Identify patients correctly before collecting blood samples.
• Explain the blood collection procedure to help patients understand what to expect.
• Prepare and sterilize the puncture site using proper infection-control procedures.
• Use the correct equipment, such as needles, vacutainers, and collection tubes.
• Label blood samples accurately to prevent identification errors.
• Transport specimens safely to the laboratory according to established guidelines.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document specimen collection.

Requirements

• Experienced Phlebotomist, proficient in adult and pediatric patients.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical lab setting.
• Phlebotomy Certificate.

Schedule

Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.

Pay

$21/hr – $23.40/hr on W2.
