Phlebotomist

What You’ll Do

• Works independently, in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance with safety and organizational policies and procedures
• Aids with supply inventory
• Instructs phlebotomy procedure to new employees
• Understands and adheres to all of the BSFHC infection control guidelines and safety procedures; knows location and use of MSDS material and uses emergency equipment
• May require other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Current national certification (required for WA, CA and LA) in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands on externship completed and passed
• CPR (BLS for community/lay responder or Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer - the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable)
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
• State Phlebotomy Tech Certification (CA, WA and LA)
• Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare environment or satisfactory completion of an approved phlebotomy course and completion of 100 hours clinical experience
