Phlebotomist

About the role

The phlebotomist position will include drawing blood and collecting other specimens from residents/patients for medical testing for diagnosis and treatment purposes.

Qualifications

• Must currently be licensed as a Registered Nurse or License Practical Nurse by the State Board of Nurse Examiners in the State where the Facility operates OR High school diploma or equivalent (required); with completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program (required).
• Certification (state specific licenses, CPT, RPT, etc)
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures.
• Nursing, medical practices and procedures.
• Knowledgeable of State and Federal Regulations for Long Term Care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle residents/patients of all ages.
