Phlebotomist
About the role
Performs phlebotomy procedures under minimal supervision to obtain venous and capillary blood specimens and other non‑invasive specimen collection for analysis. Electronically processes phlebotomy test orders and handles specimen labels to accurately collect specimens.
Responsibilities
- Obtain venous and capillary blood specimens.
- Collect other non‑invasive specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Enter phlebotomy test orders electronically.
- Apply and manage specimen labels accurately.
Requirements
- Experience: Less than one year required.
- Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (required); Phlebotomy Technician certification (preferred).
Pay
Salary range: $18.19 to $27.29 per hour, based on experience.
Schedule
Training period of 4–6 weeks with a rotating full‑time schedule.
