Phlebotomist

Job Responsibilities

• Perform medical tests at the point of care to provide immediate results for clinical decision-making.
• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Interpret and record results in compliance with established protocols.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of phlebotomy experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist is required.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• 1 year Pediatric experience.

Pay

Pay Range: $17.75 - $24.50 per hour

Schedule

Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30am-5:30pm, Wednesday 10:00am-7:00pm
