Phlebotomist

About the role

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Arlington, TX (76002). The role works in a client's office setting to provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and be the face of the company. Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform Urinalysis dips and pregnancy kit tests
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
• Preferred: Current or prior LabCorp experience
• In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
• Able to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Additional Job Standards

• Able to work 20 or more hours per week to be eligible for benefits
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

Schedule

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (additional hours/ rotating Saturdays required as needed)
