Phlebotomist
About the role
Labcorp is a global leader in laboratory services, providing insights and answers that help healthcare providers, patients, researchers, pharmaceutical companies, and health systems make confident decisions and improve outcomes. As a Phlebotomist, you will join our team in Philadelphia, PA, working in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and be the face of the company. You may also be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
- Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
- Provide superior customer service to all patients.
- Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
- Travel to additional sites when needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
- In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
- Reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with rotating Saturdays.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
