Phlebotomist

Job Description

Performs venipuncture and skin punctures competently and expediently as well as collection of various swabs.

Has thorough knowledge of test requirements, assists in Clinical Laboratory as needed.

Responsibilities

• Blood cultures
• Blood samples
• Urine drug screening
• Able to give instructions to patient for various specimen collections
• Promote excellent customer service

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred, but not required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required - must be comfortable and professional in interacting with clients, office staff and patients.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Additional languages preferred.
