Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients, performing laboratory procedures, and providing excellent patient service. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of laboratory techniques, medical terminology, and clinical laboratory procedures. Duties: Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients.Prepare and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing.Maintain proper documentation of all procedures performed.Follow established protocols and safety guidelines for specimen collection.Ensure patient comfort and provide clear instructions for specimen collection.Perform vital sign measurements as required.Assist with other laboratory tasks as needed. Qualifications: Current CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers card upon hire.One year of phlebotomy experience in an acute care hospital is preferred.Knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills is preferred.Ability to demonstrate competence in performing duties and responsibilities related to tasks, skills, and procedures for the appropriate age group served.Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to abide by CMC and department policies and procedures.Reliable attendance to support the required quality and quantity of work.Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers, and customers.Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age served in the unit.Knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan.
