Phlebotomist

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team in Artesia, NM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients, ensuring proper labeling, and maintaining a safe and sterile environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures to collect blood specimens from patients.
• Verify patient identification and ensure proper labeling of all specimens.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile work environment.
• Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
• Assist with specimen processing and transportation as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in phlebotomy or a related field.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
