Department Information

The Philosophy department at UWG offers a BA in Philosophy, with concentrations in Law, Justice, and Society or Religion, as well as minors in Philosophy or Religion. The department seeks part-time faculty to teach Philosophy-based university core classes and other discipline-related courses as part of its annual offerings.

About the Role

Seeking part-time faculty colleagues to teach Philosophy-based university core classes and limited other discipline-related courses. Course assignments are determined based on departmental needs each semester.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Philosophy-based university core classes and other discipline-related courses as assigned.

Requirements

  • Completed a minimum of 18 hours of discipline-specific coursework at the Master’s level.
  • Provide references that outline support for teaching.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed a Master’s degree or terminal degree (MA or PhD) in Philosophy or a related field.
  • Documented experience in teaching Philosophy-based pedagogy.
  • Application materials and credentials that correlate with the specific areas of application.
