Philanthropy Officer

Woodland Park Zoo · Seattle, WA · 1 mo ago
Hybrid$33.88–$50.82/hrFull-time
We need to output only HTML fragment, with headings

for sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We must include only sections that have real specific content. The posting includes: - Title: Philanthropy Officer (not heading) - Salary & FLSA: $33.88 - $50.82 per hour; FLSA non-exempt. Also note: "$33.88 hourly starting pay is structured to be competitive and may extend up to $38.99". So we have pay info. So we can include a Pay section. - Opening date, closing date, etc: maybe not needed as per instruction: do not put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings; minor metadata can be folded into short

or dropped. Opening/closing dates maybe minor metadata; we can drop or put in a short p? The instruction: "do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short

or drop it." So we could include a short paragraph with opening/closing dates, job type, location, etc. But we need to decide sections. We have sections: About the role (maybe the "HOW DO YOU ZOO?" paragraph and mission statement). Could be About the role. Responsibilities: "Your Primary Responsibilities" list. Qualifications: there is a "Qualifications" section with bullet-like sentences. Skills: maybe we can extract from qualifications? But we have a separate "Skills" heading only if there is specific content. The posting includes abilities etc. Could treat as Skills. Benefits: present. Pay: present. Schedule: mention "Hybrid (on grounds 2-3 days/week and remainder work remotely)" and "This role may be required to work occasional weekends or evenings to support donor events." Also "Ability to work on a non-standard/flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays." So schedule info exists. Thus we can include sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We must not repeat job title as heading. We must use

for each section heading. Inside sections: use
  • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and

for prose. We need to preserve all substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. Remove boilerplate: cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. So we need to strip out the SELECTION PROCESS and EEO statements etc. Also remove "HOW DO YOU ZOO?" maybe considered part of About the role? It's motivational but we can keep as prose. We need to keep the mission statement etc. Let's extract content: About the role: The paragraph after "HOW DO YOU ZOO?" includes: "More than 1.3 million people visit Woodland Park Zoo each year. We connect people with wildlife and remind them of what’s at stake in our changing world. Our job is to motivate people to take action and provide them with the tools needed to join us in saving endangered species. Working for the zoo means upholding our mission, “To save wildlife and inspire everyone to make conservation a priority in their lives.” Apply today and show us how you zoo." Also maybe the "Who You Are As our new Philanthropy Officer, we know you will be successful in this role because you are:" followed by bullet-like traits: Relationship Builder, Strategic and Results-Oriented, Exceptional Communicator, Highly Organized and Detail-Focused, Creative and Donor-Centered. Those could be considered as part of About the role or maybe Skills. But they are descriptive of who you are; could be placed under About the role as a list. But we also have a separate Qualifications section with bullet-like requirements. We need to decide where to put each piece. Better to follow the posting's headings: "Who You Are As our new Philanthropy Officer..." could be considered as part of About the role (description of ideal candidate). Then "Your Primary Responsibilities" is Responsibilities. Then "Qualifications" is Qualifications. Then "Referred Qualifications" maybe Skills? Actually "Referred Qualifications Ability to speak a language in addition to English." That's a skill. Thus we can have: - About the role: includes the mission paragraph and the "Who You Are" list. - Responsibilities: list of responsibilities. - Qualifications: list of qualifications (Bachelor's degree etc.) - Skills: maybe the "Referred Qualifications" plus any other skills like ability to speak another language, ability to initiate and build relationships etc. But many of those are already in Qualifications. To avoid duplication, we could treat Qualifications as the formal requirements, and Skills as the abilities listed (like ability to initiate and build relationships, ability to build and maintain long-term relationships, demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and organizational communication, excellent written and verbal communications skills, ability to act with integrity, ability to handle confidential info, demonstrated organizational skills, ability to work on non-standard/flexible schedule, successful applicants must live and work in Washington State, applicants must be at least 18 years old). Some of those are also qualifications. But we can split. But we must not invent or summarize away detail; we need to preserve all substantive information. If we split, we must ensure we don't lose any info. Could just put all under Qualifications and not have Skills section. But the instruction says we should prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we could combine Qualifications and Skills into one section called Qualifications (or Requirements). However we have headings list: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We can choose to use only those that have content. We could use Requirements for the qualifications, and maybe not have Skills separate if content overlaps. But we need to ensure we don't miss any content. Let's list all substantive info blocks: 1. About the zoo/mission paragraph. 2. Who you are (traits). 3. Responsibilities (list). 4. Qualifications (Bachelor's degree, experience, etc.) 5. Referred Qualifications (language). 6. Benefits (list). 7. Pay (salary range). 8. Schedule (Hybrid, occasional weekends/evenings, ability to work non-standard schedule). 9. Additional metadata: Opening date, closing date, job type, union, openings, location, department, etc. Could be folded into a short paragraph maybe under About the role or separate? But we can drop as minor metadata? The instruction says we can fold minor metadata into a short

or drop it. So we could include a short paragraph with Opening/Closing dates, Job type, Location, Department, etc. But we need to decide if we want to include that. It's not required but could be included as a short p under About the role or separate section like "Job Details". However we don't have a heading for Job Details in the allowed list. Could fold into About the role as a short p. But we must not create sections with filler text. So we can include a short p under About the role containing the metadata. Now, we need to output only HTML fragment. Let's craft:
