About the role
The position will start on 1 September 2025.
Responsibilities
- Engage in research on the geography of socio-technical transitions
- Analyze global innovation trajectories related to water treatment and reuse in centralized and de-centralized systems
- Conduct original data collection through fieldwork and interview campaigns in high- and middle-income cities
- Participate actively in the research and teaching environment of the department
- Perform departmental duties, including teaching, amounting to about 20 percent of full time
Requirements
PhD in Economic Geography or a closely related field.
Qualifications
- Strong background in economic geography or related fields
- Experience with mixed-methods research, particularly qualitative in-depth case studies and global system mapping
- Interest in urban water treatment and reuse solutions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
