Job Responsibilities
- Perform Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) inspections on welds, piping, pressure vessels, and structural components
- Set up and calibrate PAUT equipment
- Interpret and evaluate inspection data in accordance with applicable codes and specifications
- Prepare accurate inspection reports and documentation
- Maintain inspection records and ensure quality compliance
- Follow all company, client, and site-specific safety procedures
- Work closely with customers, project managers, and inspection teams
- Support additional NDT methods as needed
- Travel to customer sites throughout the U.S. as project demands require
- Work overtime, weekends, shutdowns, and outage schedules when necessary
Requirements
- Current Level II or Level III PAUT certification required
- Previous PAUT field experience required
- Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for one or all of the following is required: PAUT, Prior certification as an UTSW NDE Level II with one (1) year experience or prior certification as Level II per SNT-TC1A standards on all or one (1) of the following is required; Phased Array, UTSW
- Strong understanding of ultrasonic testing principles and advanced NDT techniques
- Experience with corrosion mapping, weld inspections, and encoded scans preferred
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively within the U.S.
Preferred Requirements
- Additional NDT certifications (UT, MT, PT, RT, VT, TOFD) preferred
- Experience in refinery, petrochemical, aerospace, manufacturing, pipeline, or power generation industries
