Pharmacy Technician Trainee

About the role

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join a collaborative team focused on providing safe, accurate, and efficient patient care. The role involves building strong patient relationships, assisting with prescription processing, and supporting pharmacy operations to ensure high-quality service and compliance with policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and provide compassionate service at all entry points.
• Assist with processing prescriptions, managing phone and in-person inquiries, and directing patients appropriately.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment to meet company and regulatory standards.
• Support team members to ensure departmental efficiency.
• Use pharmacy computer systems to complete tasks such as searching profiles, managing prescriptions, and inventory management.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and execute company programs.
• Complete required training and exams, and adhere to all policies, including HIPAA and drug sales regulations.
• Finalize sales, accurately transcribe prescription data, and maintain inventory levels.
• Answer calls professionally, resolve customer concerns, and file prescriptions daily.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-6 months of experience preferred.
• Eligible to obtain pharmacy technician registration with the state board.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and communicate effectively.
• At least 18 years old.
