Responsibilities
- Manage day to day pharmacy workflows.
- Proactively design, improve and operationalize workflow.
- Appropriately delegate projects and responsibilities to the Lead Pharmacy Technician or other technicians as applicable.
- Avoids operational issues which require coordination across pharmacy teams.
- Coordinate and run daily huddles, staff, and project workgroup meetings with pharmacy team members.
- Contact outside departments for issue resolution related to pharmacy processes.
- Review patient safety events.
- Participate in organizational and departmental process improvement initiatives, providing leadership for the team.
- Develop and/or maintain policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or Equivalent.
- Five years of experience in pharmacy practice, including or in addition to three years of experience in a health-system pharmacy practice setting for which they are supervising.
- State of Washington Pharmacy Technician License.
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws and federal and state regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Skilled at providing clear direction and feedback to team members.
- Able to work independently and problem-solve issues using available resources.
- Able to communicate with other health care professionals in a polite and appropriate manner.
- Able to maintain strict standards for patient confidentiality.
